How to Relieve Pain Instant

Pain in the body is usually associated with arthritis and other chronic disease conditions. But no instant way to reduce the pain so that pain does not interfere with daily activities.

Five instant ways to ease the pain of the recommended Jacob Teitelbaum, MD, author of 'Real Cause, Real Cure (Rodale)', as quoted MSNHealth, Thursday (17/11/2011), among others:

1. Acupressure

Muscle pain is the most common type of pain experienced by someone. Tender and marble size knots in your muscles called trigger points. Point triggers a lot of pain according to the acupressure points that are used in treatments such as acupuncture or sports massage.

At the trigger point is pressurized enough to see the white markings of the fingers and hold for at least 45 seconds. This will cause pain at first, but in a way that can increase the flow of energy to help ease the pain as in sports massage.

If you have pain in places that are difficult to reach, such as back, shoulder, or neck, can apply pressure with a tennis ball.

Enough with the lying, and placing the ball near the area where there is pain, and rolling around. Lying down for 1-5 minutes, or until the muscles feel relaxed.

Recent studies from France showed listening to music can help to increase the intensity of pain in people with chronic back pain. Yet another study found that nearly half of cancer patients who listened to music for 30 minutes experienced a 50 percent reduction of pain.

The results of these studies have been published in The International Journal of Nursing Studies. Listening to music can help reduce the intensity of pain because it can distract from pain rather than focusing on pain.

Physical exercise, including yoga, tai chi, and walking has been shown to reduce pain. Research in the New England Journal of Medicine found patients with fibromyalgia who did tai chi two times a week for 1 hour and daily for 12 weeks experienced a significant reduction in pain.

Tai chi is a combination of slow movement, breathing, and meditation. Stressor factors, such as adrenaline, can result in pain. Practice of yoga and tai chi can help stretch and relax the muscles, and relieve pain.

Even just a stretch for 10-15 seconds can help ease the pain.
