Common Dental Problems Found Children

The children really like sweet foods and sometimes difficult to persuade him to brush his teeth so that triggers the problem. What are the common dental problems of children?

Dental problems become part of almost met by most children, but the changes became permanent teeth milk teeth also occur in children who later can affect oral health in adulthood.

Here are some common dental problems and occurs in children, as quoted from Buzzle and Babycenter, Saturday (19/11/2011), namely:

1. Dental caries
Dental caries or holes caused by the accumulation of plaque on teeth. This plaque is sticky and is formed from a combination of bacteria and acids that are released during digestion of sugar and other foods.

Plaques that accumulate this will erode the enamel and form tiny holes in it. If the left will make the bacteria to go deeper into the tooth that eventually leads to a pulp which contains nerves and blood vessels.

2. Gum infection disease
Or gum infection called periodontitis that starts from the formation of plaque. Infections caused by bacteria will cause inflammation of the gingiva. If the problem is ignored gap will form between the gums and teeth that eventually invade the gum tissue.

3. Tooth loss
Tooth loss is usually caused by acid erosion caused by sweet or carbonated drinks can erode the enamel. Although the teeth have the ability to repair itself, but if too much acid can make the teeth becomes thinner.

4. Thumb sucking
Babies who suck their thumbs may look funny but it can cause dental problems later on. Prolonged thumb sucking cause misaligned teeth and prominent experience, which will make the upper and lower jaw is not normal.

5. Malocclusion
Malocclusion is a condition of upper and lower teeth are not aligned so as to provide the bite of a bad outcome and difficulty speaking. Children are more prone to develop this disease because it has a small jaw so as to make teeth grow incorrectly.
