Diseases That Threaten Still in 2012

In a few hours in 2011 will be terminated and replaced by 2012. Although the years have changed, but there are some diseases that are still a threat in 2012. What is it?

Some diseases are eradicated already exist or does not appear anymore, but certain diseases still threaten humans in 2012. Here are some diseases that are still a threat namely:

1. Infectious diseases
Infectious disease is one disease that is still a threat, the disease can be caused by viruses, bacteria or parasites. Especially in the year 2012 is forecast to occur several natural disasters that could be a risk factor for increased transmission of infectious diseases such as ARI (upper respiratory tract infection), diarrhea, hepatitis A, diphtheria and other infectious diseases.

In some countries infectious diseases are not a problem anymore, but in some countries, especially developing countries the disease is still a scourge of its own. One of the most effective way of prevention is a healthy lifestyle including washing hands with soap.

2. Non-communicable diseases
Current death rates from noncommunicable diseases is increasing, the disease is sustained in the long term and develop slowly. Four major non-communicable diseases are cardiovascular disease (heart disease and stroke), cancer, chronic respiratory disease (lung disease and asthma) and diabetes.

3. Tuberculosis
Tuberculosis (TB) remains a serious threat, because of the many patients who have TB germs resistance or immunity to the drugs that exist today either one or second-line drugs. Besides other causes are still pockets of tuberculosis that have not been detected.

One way to overcome tuberculosis are taking medication regularly and necessary compliance of the patient, because if he stops himself at risk of developing resistance to existing drugs.

4. HIV / AIDS
HIV / AIDS is still a threatening disease because of the high increase in new cases, and still the people who cover these conditions so as not to get the right treatment.

5. H 5 N1
Although the case in humans was reduced, but the disease still threatened because it could mutate to become more easily transmitted or even become more virulent. Mutation of bird flu was found in a new strain that spreads in China and Vietnam. The UN World Food Programme (FAO) urged for greater oversight did against the possible spread of bird flu again.
