Heavy Bag Allowed Not More Than 10 Percent of Body Weight

Sometimes a person does not notice how heavy the bags it uses. But to prevent the onset of pain or soreness, should carry a bag that weighs no more than 10 percent of body weight.

If someone is carrying a bag weighing more than 10 percent of body weight, then this will burden your back and joints so that trigger pain or pain in the back.

The weight that should never be more than 10 percent of this has included heavy bag itself and also its contents. For it if possible choose a bag made of lightweight materials such as vinyl or canvas so that it can reduce the burden.

This condition is also included for a backpack, because if too heavy can make worse such as stooped posture. Although there are some experts who allows a person carrying a backpack with weights up to 15 percent of the weight that is owned.

Whereas if you use a sling bag, preferably using a long strap so it can be slung across the chest. And do not forget to fiddle position between the right and left shoulder.

If carrying a heavy bag on one side in the long term will affect the curvature of the bones in the neck that distributes pressure to the spine thus causing chronic pain in the neck, shoulders, back and even up to a headache.

Also another thing to consider is the location of the goods carried. If using a sling bag or handbag then place items evenly, heavy items should be placed at the bottom and the lighter on it.

But if you use a backpack or luggage then book the most heavy burden is placed close to the back to get a toehold most powerful, so do not make your back tired.
