Avoid Drinking Coffee At Sore Throat

Strep throat can cause discomfort and pain. Therefore there are some foods and beverages should be avoided, one of which is to avoid drinking coffee.

When strep throat attack will arise to pain and pain in the throat is sometimes accompanied by nausea, chills, loss of appetite and headache. However, habits such as drinking coffee has sometimes difficult to remove.

Side effects that arise from strep throat is feeling dry and itchy. When this occurs, avoid foods and drinks that can make the throat grew dry.

One of them is a drink containing caffeine such as coffee, tea and soda, because caffeine can make the mouth so dry that can aggravate symptoms of strep throat that appears.

Besides caffeine also increases the likelihood that a person is dehydrated because he is a natural diuretic, a sore throat when people need enough fluids so that the symptoms subside.

As an alternative, try replacing your intake of caffeine from coffee to tea with lemon or honey added. This is because less caffeine and is soothing.

Other liquids may still be tolerated by people with strep throat include milkshakes, soup and water. Try to consume as much fluid as possible in order to help prevent dehydration which may exacerbate symptoms.

Sore throat is a condition that can be caused by many things leh like virus (mononucleosis), often using mouth breathing, smoking, infections are mostly caused by Streptococcus bacteria.
