Watch Healthy Live Through Appearances

Good health is reflected in an attractive appearance. Aging, wrinkles, or hair loss can in fact indicate an underlying health problem.

At first it did not feel, but if left unchecked will become worse and may eventually lead to falling ill. If not given serious attention, trivial conditions are reflected in the appearance could be bad.

Some health conditions that can be seen from the appearance:

1. Wrinkled

Wrinkles are unavoidable, but also could be a sign of osteoporosis. Recent research reveals the relationship between wrinkles and bone health in women entering menopause.

The worse the lining, the greater the risk of a lack of bone density. Wrinkles are the result of aging, but excessive exposure to cigarette smoke or sunlight can speed up the process.

2. Leg swelling

Various conditions such as sprains, wounds and infections can cause swelling in the feet and ankles. Pregnancy, obesity and certain drugs can cause fluid retention that trigger swelling.

Patients with heart failure have a tendency to fluid retention because the heart is not pumping blood properly. Swelling in the feet, ankles, and feet are classic symptoms of heart failure conditions.

3. Nails speckled

Nails freckled, defects, changed color to yellow brownish, thickened, or separate from the nail bed can indicate a lot of health problems.

Nail changes are common in patients with psoriasis (an autoimmune disease that attacks the skin), psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis (inflammation of the skin and joints), and alopecia areata (hair loss in certain parts).

The spots are also found in patients with Reiter's syndrome (inflammation of the joints and tendons), arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis), and incontinentia pigmenti (because of a genetic skin disorder).

4. Hands and big feet

If someone has a prominent jaw and forehead, and the proportion of hands and feet are not balanced, it is the classic signs of acromegaly, a hormonal disorder that occurs in adults when the pituitary gland produces too much growth hormone.

5. Foul mouth

Teeth and gums that smell is not just the signs of poor oral hygiene, mouth also can show a person's heart health and bone. In 2010, Scottish researchers report in the British Medical Journal that brushing can reduce the risk of heart disease.

Compared with people who brush their teeth twice a day, people who rarely brush their teeth have a 70% greater risk of heart disease or die from heart disease. Tooth loss can also signal osteoporosis, because it shows that the density of jaw bone is no longer able to support the teeth.

6. Facial redness

Facial redness due to acne or skin lesions are common symptoms of rosacea, a chronic skin disease. Although the exact cause is unknown, people with rosacea blush appear as enlarged blood vessels. Over time, lumps and ulcers can form and can be turned into a rounded nose.

7. Dark stain on the skin

A beam of dark stains on the skin at the back of the neck may look like less rubbing the skin with the right while showering. But in fact, it could be a sign of acanthosis nigricans, a condition where the skin appears darker and thicker along the folds of the body.

People with insulin resistance, diabetes, obesity or even cancer (but rarely), it can have this dark stain. Although not a sign of diabetes, this stain should receive further examination.
