Fat Girls Tenage Easier Acne

Hormonal changes that occur during adolescence can indeed trigger acne. But young women who are overweight or obese are at higher risk to have acne.

A survey conducted in Norway showed that teenage girls are overweight or obese were significantly more likely to develop acne than other girls of normal weight. But this does not occur in teenage boys.

The researchers looked at weight loss of participants, especially the value of body mass index (BMI) and analyzed the initial conditions in general adolescent skin. Participants are also given a questionnaire that focuses on the history of acne.
