Vomiting 50 a Day, Girls15 Years Want to Have Stomach of Bionics

A girl in Britain stricken with a crippling disease and caused him to vomit as much as 50 times a day. School-aged girls who still hopes to get a 'bionic stomach' that can prevent starvation.

Danielle Goodridge who is now at the age of 15 years, had to give up his life imprisoned for nearly a year due to Gastroparesis disease which causes him to vomit all the objects that enter the stomach.

In an effort to restore life to normal, Danielle's family has launched a fundraising campaign to finance the operation of Danielle.

Danielle disease, at a cost of 22,000 pounds (about USD 310 million) to buy a gastric pacemaker to be inserted in the body, and the cost of care after surgery. A device installed in the belly of this will stop Danielle brings back food and drink which he had swallowed.

This is a very rare condition. Not much is known about it. Everything he ate, all of which he drank, even drugs, will bounce off of his stomach.

At first she thought Danielle plain sick. Because often brings back the food and because of his posture a little, Danielle bullied by older children in school. He struggled to persuade his friends that he did not suffer from eating disorders.

Her parents contacted a local doctor who also thought he was experiencing stomach pains, but the next day he was rushed to hospital after throwing up all the food for almost a week.

Medics initially puzzled by this unusual condition. After dozens of visits to the famous hospital in the UK, the medical officer said that he might need food tube that is placed directly into the intestines permanently.

But after scouring the internet, she found other symptoms of illness and diagnosis are similar to Gastroparesis or paralysis of the stomach, a disease usually associated with disturbances of diabetes. Consequently, since January 2011 and then, Danielle remains in a state of hunger and dehydration as well as the risk of heart failure.

"I am very low potassium levels, so I was constantly turning off and turning on the heart monitor and dripping potassium to prevent heart failure. Some days I did not even have the energy to get out of bed," Danielle said .

He hoped the gastric pacemaker will help him overcome the debilitating symptoms of this. But, he also realized that the device will not heal completely.

This operation was partially bailed out by the NHS, public health insurance institutions in England, but her family worried that Danielle did not get permission in the maintenance of procedures, processes required can be too long.

In a site created for fundraising, Danielle said that she might not have much time. In the first week since its launch, the campaign raised more than 3,200 pounds (about USD 45 million).
